Item 3.1 - Resolution to Initiate Procedures for Establishing and Implementing By-District
Elections for City Council Members.
City Manager's Recommendation: It is recommended that the City Council take
public input; close the public hearing, adopt a Resolution entitled "A Resolution of
the City Council of the City of Poway, California, Expressing the City Council's
Intention, Pursuant to Elections Code Section 10010(e)(3)(A), to Initiate Procedures
for Establishing and Implementing By-District Elections for City Council Members,"
and authorize an appropriation from General Fund unappropriated balance
(100-8912) in the amount of $41,500.
